Product Structure Features:
The plug valve (general valve) is suitable for pipelines in various working conditions in the petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, fertilizer, and power industries with a nominal pressure of CLASS150-900LBS and an operating temperature of -29-180℃, to cut off or connect the pipeline medium.
Its main structural features:
1. Reasonable product structure, reliable sealing, excellent performance, and beautiful appearance.
2. Its sealing is achieved through the sealing rings around the valve disc. Unique dovetail grooves protect and secure the sealing rings.
3. Bidirectional flow, easier installation and use.
4. Parts materials and flange dimensions can be reasonably selected according to the actual working conditions or user requirements to meet the needs of various projects.
Working principle of the general valve:
When the valve is fully open, the plug's passage aligns with the valve body's passage, ensuring the ideal minimum pressure drop.
When the handwheel is rotated, the plug rotates towards the closed direction, simultaneously driving the valve disc to rotate 90 degrees. When the handwheel continues to rotate, the plug will be pressed down, causing the valve disc to open to both sides. The valve disc will tightly press against the valve seat, closing the valve.
When the handwheel rotates in the opposite direction, it first causes the plug to move upward, separating the valve disc from the valve seat. Continuing to rotate the handwheel causes the plug to drive the valve disc to rotate 90 degrees. Finally, the plug's passage aligns with the valve body's passage, putting the valve in a fully open state.
The advantages of this valve are that during the opening and closing process, the valve disc and valve seat are separated, the switching process is frictionless, and the sealing surface will not wear. At the same time, the sealing uses soft sealing, making the valve zero leakage when closed.
